In Year 3, to follow on with our Roald Dahl texts and to find out more about the animals he included in his stories, we have been learning about the hippo and the elephant. We have carried out research and written information texts about each one.

In maths we have been practising the different ways of adding and subtracting using ‘friendly’ numbers.

In Science, we have investigated light, shadows, different transparencies and what it might it be like if there was no light.

During music, we have continued to develop our skills in playing the glockenspiels, in particular, looking at rhythm and learning a few notes to play a simple tune.

As part of our computing lessons, we have learnt about stop motion animation, planned a simple story, drawn and prepared characters and settings and then created an animation. It was great fun and we made some super films which we shared together.
