Science – Earth and Space
To finish off our Science topic of The Universe, which supports our unit on Earth and Space, we learnt about how to Earth revolves around the Sun and the effect this has on night and day, along with the reasons we have seasons. We also learnt that as the Moon moves around our planet, it rotates at the same speed that it orbits, which is why we only ever see one side of the Moon. We also looked at the different phases of the Moon and why it appears to change throughout each month. Next, we will be looking at forces and building upon what we have already learnt about gravity.
