This week we have been learning about farms, farming and farm animals (including seasons). We shared a wonderful book about Adam Henson’s farm in the Cotswolds.
Some children designed and drew their own farm after playing with our small world farm.
We matched animal Mums to their baby and learnt the correct name for the baby. We also learnt about the names for the types of shelters that farm animals live in. We used junk modelling to make shelters for different animals.
In Maths, we continued to look at numbers 0-15, learning to count to that number, recognise the numerals and find ways to make that number by adding two other numbers.
In Phonics, we learnt sh, th (unvoiced), th (voiced) and ng sounds (including new tricky words we, me and be.
