Breathtakingly Beautiful Poetry
Inspired by the beautiful book, ‘The Lost Words’ we conjured up our own free verse poems based on birds. Our poems included assonance, consonance, rhyme, rhythm, personification and was told from two perspectives: the listener and the bird. We performed our poems to the class and amazed our teachers with the quality of our writing. Tomorrow we are going to create watercolour paintings inspired by the artwork in the book and it will be a great opportunity to test out our skills of adding texture and colour.
