Happy New Year everybody! You will all be pleased to know that Y6 have settled back into a strong work-mode after a lovely holiday – well done Y6!

To kick off our new science topic (Electricity) , we have been investigating the history of electricity using chronological skills! Working in groups, we created a timeline of key events to explore significant scientists and discoveries throughout the ages and the information we uncovered really surprised us. For example, we were really surprised to discover that appliances like washing machines were available to buy so soon after a World War, when resources must have been incredibly scarce!  Good thinking folks! 

The children are very excited to start making circuits in future lessons, so watch this space!
