Welcome to a “behind the scenes” in Pandas’ classroom. The children have been getting very excited about our WW2 topic and this week we entered into a debate about whether children should have been evacuated to the countryside. The children were each given one argument to consider and worked collaboratively to generate a compelling speech. As the debate progressed, they became more and more animated and developed counter arguments for the issue being discussed; their speaking and listening skills were in fine form and we were immensely proud of their respect and consideration for the speaker and the subject matter.
