Our DT cooking creations: Fantastic fishcakes! 
For the past two weeks, we have been busy in DT and focused on cooking. We used a wide range of skills to help us make some delicious fishcakes: peeling, chopping, mashing, mixing and baking. After we had made them, we tasted and evaluated them. Some people didn’t like theirs, which meant that some people got to have seconds. You can find the recipe below if your child wants to have another go at making them at home. 

Whilst groups were cooking, the rest of us learnt about food safety including food hygiene and how to properly store leftover food. We made posters to help others learn about how to keep safe whilst cooking.

Now there’s no excuse why the children can’t help prepare the dinner over the half term.
