Over the last two weeks, Year 5 have begun to study the planets in our solar system. We have learnt the order of the planets and we had a go at ‘speed dating’ to learn facts about each of the planets (Ask your children!!!). We have also been learning about the planets in French; this has been helping us to remember their order from the Sun.

In PSHE we have been exploring the importance of empathy and why this is an essential life skill to develop. We are trying very hard to see things from the perspective of others and to understand that other people are just as important as we are.

We have had our first rehearsal for the Christmas performance and the Christmas lights have appeared outside – The children are very excited.
