The first 3 weeks of Autumn B have been busy, busy!

We started off the half term learning about the Hindu festival of light….Diwali. We explored colourful Rangoli patterns, created our own Mehndi hand patterns and made beautiful Diva lamps from clay.

Week 2 was Nursery Rhyme Week. Each day we enjoyed a different nursery rhyme and had the opportunity to sing it throughout the day using various props available. 

Week 3 introduced the wonderful Julia Donaldson text ‘Room on the Broom’. We used this text to help us identify and understand rhyming words. Mrs Redman also helped us retell the story in key groups using amazing, knitted characters from the story and other props.
