It is hard to believe that our amazing children have completed a whole term in Early Years. It has been such a busy time. We have learnt all Phase 2 and Phase 3 Phonics sounds and tricky words. If you would like a copy of these to practise consolidation at home, please just ask via email to the academy office and we will sort. 

We have shared many incredible stories, learnt many songs and facts and even learnt about rhyming words. This was all brought together at the end of term with the most amazing performance of Whoops-a-Daisy Angel.  

 

In Maths, we have learnt in depth about numbers 0 – 5. Please see the Mastering Number overview document HERE for a more specific breakdown of learning objectives. 

 

Over the course of the next half term, Spring A, we will consolidate our learning of Phase 2 and 3 Phonics sounds. Our focus will be on practising blending for reading, practising segmenting for spelling and reading all tricky words on sight.
