Yesterday was a very exciting day in Brookside, as it was the grand opening of our brilliant book vending machine, that Friends of Brookside have kindly funded.

Children from across the academy were chosen to be the first to select a brand new book to keep from the vending machine in recognition of their hard work in reading.

We would like to thank Friends of Brookside for supporting this idea and also The Works for providing the books at a discounted rate.

There is excitement across the school to see which lucky children get to choose a book from the vending machine next!
