Spring term in Year 5 has started with a new topic in Geography – all about North America. We have been exploring the different countries in this continent and have been surprised at the range of climates you could find here. We’ve learnt this is all to do with how close or far the countries are from the equator.
In Guided Reading, we are halfway through reading Holes by Louis Sachar. The book is full of mysteries and really keeps you guessing, so much so that we can hardly wait until our next guided reading session comes along.
As well as this, we are looking at video producing and editing in Computing. So far, we’ve looked at different camera angles and filming techniques to support us for when we film and edit our own videos later on this half term.
