What a truly fantastic return to school Year 2 have made! We have all come back with smiles on our faces and are already striving to achieve our best – Brilliant! We hope you all had a wonderful Easter break and enjoyed the sunshine whilst it lasted.

This half term continues with the adventure of our puppets. We are loving watching our puppets come to life and cannot wait until they are complete! Painting and sewing is our focus before piecing together the final products!

In Maths we start looking at Fractions, learning that each part needs to be equal and we can divide the whole into separate parts. I wonder if you can tell someone at home what the numerator or the denominator is?

In English, we are setting sail aboard a ship… But not just any old ship… A pirate ship! Arrggghhhh!

Our technology skills continue to develop as we embark upon a musical journey, composing pieces electronically. We use an online piece of software called Chrome Music Lab found at https://musiclab.chromeexperiments.com/
In PSHE, we are going to start looking at ‘Rights and Respect’, talking about getting on with others, what we can do when we feel like exploding and feeling safe.

Upon completion of our puppets, we will start to look back at Geography. We go on an adventure to a different continent and zoom in to look at life in a small village in Africa.

What a jam-packed 5 weeks we will have!
