Last week in Early Years we celebrated Nursery Rhyme week. The children enjoyed learning and singing a new rhyme every day. We talked about ‘Friendship Friday’ as part of Anti-Bullying week and reminded the children of our school rules and how important it is to be kind.

In our Knowledge and Skills sessions, we painted our Diya lamps, sang Nursery Rhymes and the children really enjoyed their DT lesson, building on their cutting skills and fine motor skills cutting up Humpty Dumpty and then putting him back together again. 

In Maths we were learning about one less than a number, addition, partitioning and combining numbers up to 10. 

We had a quick visit from Moorlight Theatre Productions, telling the children all about their upcoming Jack and the Beanstalk pantomime at The Meyer Theatre.
