Wow we are very nearly at the end of the year and I can not believe that the children will soon be making their way to Year Two. The children have worked incredibly hard recently and are all getting quite tired, especially with the lovely hot weather we have been having.

Thank you to everyone who supported the children on Sports Day, we all had great fun and really enjoyed ourselves. 

Recently in Maths we have learnt about coins, telling the time and position. It has all been quite tricky to figure out but by using our perseverance skills we did well at reading clocks that show o’ clock and half past times, recognising all the coins and notes and figuring out left and right.

Alongside this we’ve been observing some pennies in a Science experiment to see what cleaned them best – the clear winner was vinegar but the penny stank!
