Welcome to the Penguins & Zebras Class!
Early Years is your first step into an amazing learning journey through Brookside Academy. This year will be full of lessons and fun activities helping to learn about phonics and early reading, maths and much, much more. A particular highlight will be a trip to Wookey Hole Caves in the summer term.

P.E.
Wednesday mornings - sport with Mr Ball, Mr Perry & Miss Wicks.
Please bring P.E. kit into school.
P.E. kit is a red Brookside t-shirt, black shorts and/or black joggers/leggings, a sweatshirt/hoodie and trainers.
Homework
Reading books will be changed on Mondays and Thursdays.
The children will also choose a new sharing book every Monday to enjoy at home with family.
Each term children will bring home the phonics sounds they are learning to practice.
